Privacy Policy – “Focus & Flow” Extension

Your privacy is extremely important to us. The Focus & Flow extension was designed from the ground up with privacy as a priority. Our core principle is simple: your data belongs to you.

This document explains what information the extension handles, how it is used, and in which cases data may be sent to third-party services.

1. Data Collection Philosophy

Focus & Flow does not have its own servers and does not collect or transmit your personal or activity data to us.

Almost all information used by the extension is stored exclusively on your device using your browser’s secure storage technologies (localStorage and IndexedDB).

The only time data leaves your computer is when the extension needs to fetch content from external services (for example, weather data or an inspirational quote).

2. Data Stored Locally

To function and remember your preferences, the extension saves the following types of information on your device:

• Settings and Preferences: theme (light/dark), panel layout, visible widgets, Pomodoro timer settings, photo settings, preferred language, and other customization options.
  • Purpose: to keep your experience consistent and personalized.
• User-Created Content: name for greeting, current focus task, to-do list, saved links, and any photos you upload as background.
  • Purpose: to display and manage the content you add within the extension.
• Activity and Productivity Data: focus time history, number of completed Pomodoro sessions, and websites hidden from the “Launchpad” widget.
  • Purpose: to provide you with productivity insights through the statistics panel.
• Cached Data: the last displayed quote and weather data.
  • Purpose: to improve performance and reduce the number of external API requests.

You have full control over these data and can delete them at any time through the extension’s features or by clearing your browser’s storage. Uninstalling the extension will also remove all stored data.

3. Sharing with Third Parties

The extension uses some external services to provide additional functionalities.
